Zachary Brown is the Chief Information Security Officer and Deputy Chief Privacy Officer for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Mr. Brown joined the FDIC in April of 2018 to lead the implementation of organizational changes to restructure and refine the FDIC’s cybersecurity and privacy programs. Prior to joining the FDIC, Mr. Brown was the Chief Information Security Officer for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) where he designed, implemented and directed the information security program for the 21st century start-up agency. Mr. Brown has a rich background in information security that began in the U.S. Marine Corps, and includes service to civilian, defense and intelligence agencies.
