The Cyber Awards recognize individuals who exemplify excellence in government cyber security through individual contributions to cyber security programs that protect national and global data and systems. The awards will also recognize thought leaders who have developed and operationalized innovative strategies or programs to address government cyber security challenges.
The awards will recognize one winner in each of five categories:
- National/Federal – Civilian
- National/Federal – Department of Defense
- Regional/State and Local
- U.S. Congress/Capitol Hill
Award nominees should exhibit strong leadership and an innovative approach, going “above and beyond” daily responsibilities to make a difference in government cyber security. Each award nominee must be a current employee of a U.S. Federal, state, or local branch of government or government agency; a member of state legislature or Congress; Education; or a member of an international government entity (national, regional, or local level).
